Board & Partners

Guided by Service, Driven by Community

Since 1988, Food & Care Coalition has been led by dedicated volunteers and community partners who believe every person in Utah County deserves dignity, stability, and a path forward. Meet the people behind the mission.

Brent Crane

Brent Crane has served as Executive Director of Food & Care Coalition since 1993 — more than three decades of transforming how Utah County serves its most vulnerable neighbors. Under his leadership, what began as a simple soup kitchen has grown into a comprehensive resource center offering meals, housing, dental care, mental health services, and job readiness programs.

A BYU graduate, Brent has dedicated his career to community service, serving on the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, Springville City Volunteer Commission, and the Provo Downtown Alliance. His vision has always been clear: meet people where they are and give them every tool they need to rebuild.

Brent resides in Mapleton with his wife Shellie. Together they have four children and a growing number of grandchildren — a family deeply rooted in the same community the Coalition serves.
